PM Shehbaz Sharif revokes the GM and MD of PASSCO procurement

PM Sharif, who was presiding over a conference about wheat stocks in Lahore, instructed the relevant authorities to employ technology to make the acquisition of wheat a clean and transparent procedure. He also suggested that a smartphone application be created for this purpose.

Shehbaz Sharif gave the order for PASSCO’s stock to be audited by a third party. For farmers’ financial security, he argued, crop insurance should be provided.

PM Shehbaz Sharif instructed PASSCO to transparently and effectively acquire an extra four lakh metric tons of wheat. Under no circumstances will farmer’s loss be accepted.

According to him, official recognition and selection would be extended to PASSCO centers and officers that demonstrate exceptional performance.

Shehbaz Sharif declared that every effort is being made by the government to guarantee food security in the nation and that all necessary steps will be done to safeguard the prosperity of farmers.

The Federal Cabinet members Muhammad Aurangzeb, Rana Tanveer Hussain, Ahad Khan Cheema, Jam Kamal Khan, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, PM Coordinator Rana Ehsan Afzal, and other senior officers were present during the meeting.
