Today, Zardari will address Parliament.

At 4pm, the joint session begins.

At the start of the year, the President addresses a joint session of Parliament under Article 56 (3) of the Constitution.

The National Assembly Secretariat have finished preparing for the combined parliament session. Governors and chief ministers of all provinces, including Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, have been invited.

Also invited are the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and the three services chiefs. Provincial assemblies, Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, and Gilgit-Baltistan are invited to send speakers and deputy speakers.

Zardari will make his record seventh National Assembly-Senate joint address.

His five-year presidency from 2008 to 2013 included six parliamentary addresses.

The previous joint Parliament sitting was called on March 9 for presidential elections by National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq.

Shehbaz Sharif gave President Erdogan the assurance that Pakistanis were fully supporting their Turkish brothers and sisters during their time of sorrow.
The prime minister praised the Turkish authorities’ prompt response to the regrettable occurrence and pledged to offer any support that would be required in this area.
President Erdogan expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for the gesture, saying it was a sign of the two nations’ close fraternal connections and their shared intention to further them for their mutual advantage.
