A conference, led by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, decided to supply solar panels to farmers for their tubewells.

Nawaz Sharif emphasized the escalating expenses associated with energy and gas, raising concerns about the resilience of the populace. He campaigned for the provision of solar panels to farmers, emphasizing the need for government investment in this area.

Nawaz emphasized the importance of guaranteeing equitable remuneration for the laborious efforts of farmers. In addition, he recommended that they protect themselves from being exploited by intermediaries.

The report at the meeting disclosed previous governmental practices of providing wheat to mills at rates below the purchase price, leading to a significant debt of Rs 630 billion, with a potential risk of it increasing to Rs 1.1 trillion.

CM Maryam vowed to employ state-of-the-art equipment and implement drip irrigation techniques in order to improve agricultural productivity and minimize water usage. In addition, she expressed a need for a comprehensive approach to address the issue of increasing fertilizer prices.

Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Information Minister Azma Bukhari, Food Minister Bilal Yasin, and Agriculture Minister Syed Ashiq, along with other officials including the Chief Secretary, SMBR, Secretary of Food, Agriculture, Finance, Chairman of PITB, and others, were present at the meeting.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa administration has reportedly launched attacks on the federal capital in the past in an attempt to seize Islamabad, according to Saad Rafiq on the social media platform X (previously Twitter).

“However, PTI got nothing and it resulted in creating chaos, hatred and economic destruction,” he continued.
