Punjab has increased security for Chinese officials.

The Punjab Home Department reports that approximately 11,225 security guards are stationed for the safety of the 3355 Chinese officials who are now employed throughout Punjab.

The Home Department promised to give all Chinese diplomats in Punjab impenetrable security.

Yesterday, five foreign nationals and one local person were confirmed dead in a suicide bombing in Bisham, which occurred along the Karakoram highway.

A suicide bomber crashed an explosives-laden car into a convoy of foreign nationals traveling from Islamabad to their camp in Dasu, Shangla, according to the Malakand District Inspector General (DIG).

According to the original account, the driver and five foreign passengers in a passenger car were killed in the incident while traveling from Islamabad to Dasu Dam.

The coaster went off the road after the explosion and stopped some distance away.

Authorities quickly sent teams from the Peshawar Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) and CTD to the location in reaction to the incident.

The blast victims’ remains and injured were moved by rescue workers to the closest hospital so they could receive emergency care.

Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif visited the Chinese embassy after the unfortunate occurrence to offer condolences for the five Chinese nationals who were killed in a terrorist attack.

He gave the Chinese side his word that the government would launch an immediate, high-level investigation into the incident and bring those responsible and those who assisted them to justice. The Chinese president and premier received a condolence telegram from the prime minister as well.

Five IPP contracts are being terminated, according to PM Shehbaz.

He stated that this was carried out with the owners of the IPPs’ mutual approval while presiding over today’s federal cabinet meeting in Islamabad.

The Prime Minister notified the Cabinet that no interest will be paid; only the remaining sums owed to these IPPs will be settled.

He emphasized that breaking these contracts will benefit the national exchequer by around 411 billion rupees and save power users roughly sixty billion rupees.

Shehbaz Sharif claimed that it was the result of the government team’s tireless efforts working together. In this regard, he acknowledged the associated parties’ contributions and support as well. In particular, he brought up General Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, who showed a personal interest in the entire situation.

The Prime Minister explained that the breakthrough marked the start of a path that will ultimately lead to the wealth and advancement of the populace.

Shehbaz Sharif also brought up the assistance given to power users in the summer by the Punjabi and Federal governments.

The prime minister expressed happiness that the economy is steadily approaching stability. He made note of the fact that remittances for the first quarter reached a record-breaking $8.8 billion. This indicates that Pakistan’s economy is progressing, he remarked.

The administration, according to Shehbaz Sharif, also took action to lower the inflation, which is currently only one digit. He said that this was the PML-N’s election manifesto pledge being fulfilled.
