PTI would appeal PHC’s reserved seat ruling to the Supreme Court.

Gohar spoke to the media outside the Supreme Court that they would like the court to appoint a bigger bench to hear cases involving reserved seats.

He said that the location of the March 23 demonstration in Islamabad will be revealed tomorrow. The PTI chairman also claimed that efforts were underway to use vote recounts to undermine the party’s victorious candidates.

The Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) filed petitions over reserved seats in legislatures, but today the Peshawar High Court (PHC) rejected them.

The petition was decided upon by a five-member high court panel, with Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim reading the reserved ruling.

Regarding a query concerning the number of seats in the province and national parliament. According to the SIC lawyer, the party has nine seats in Sindh, 107 seats in Punjab, 86 members in the NA, 90 seats in KP, and one member in the Balochistan Assembly. “The SIC is entitled to 78 reserved seats and has 226 seats overall in assemblies,” he continued.

The attorney claimed, “The election commission kept us apart and granted reserved seats to remaining political parties.” Several political parties asked the ECP to give us these seats because the area was undeveloped.

According to Ali Zafar, who cited Article 17, any person is free to join or create a party. “A party may run for office and establish government if it were to form. According to Article 17, we are entitled to all of these rights,” he declared.

According to Ali Zafar, the electoral commission is perplexed by the distinction between a political party and a parliamentary party. He contended, “The seats have been reserved for a specific purpose and not for free distribution.”
