Barrister Gohar Ali stated that some party officials had a ‘difference’ of opinion in allying with the SIC, but the majority consented.

The PTI chief called the decision ‘right’. He claimed that, unlike PML-N and PPP, the PTI consults its members before making decisions.

“The PTI core committee meets many times to decide,” Barrister Gohar Ali said.

The PTI chairman answered Sher Afzal Marwat’s claim that the alliance with the SIC was a mistake.

He said the PTI would fully participate in parliament and not boycott elections or resign.

Sher Afzal Marwat: PTI-SIC merger ‘a Mistake’

PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat called his party’s merger with Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) ‘a mistake’ on March 15 and demanded an investigation into its ‘wrong decisions’.

Afzal Marwat told a private news channel that his party’s agreement with the Sunni-Ittehad Council (SIC) was ‘a mistake’ and is now losing reserved seats.

PTI allied with the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) to win reserved seats in the national, Punjab, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa assemblies.
