PPP “finalizes” candidates from Sindh for the Senate

The ruling party in Sindh has chosen to run candidates for each of the province’s twelve open Senate seats. According to those with knowledge of the situation, Sarmad Ali and Barrister Zameer Ghumro have been officially nominated by the PPP for the Technocrat seats.

The PPP will appoint Ainee Mari and Rubina Qaimkhani as senators representing women in reserved seats, and Ponjo Mall Bhel will represent the party in the minority seat.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) timetable states that on April 2, elections would be held for 48 open Senate seats.

Up to Saturday, applicants may submit their nomination documents to the returning officers.

However, this month’s 19th has been set aside for the examination of nomination materials. On the 26th of this month, a new list of candidates will be released, and by the 27th of the same month, candidates may withdraw their candidacy papers.
