Pakistani gasoline prices could start to decline on March 16.

Anticipating a significant decrease, the federal government is preparing to provide updated fuel and diesel rates for the second half of March 2024.

According to reports, the government is planning to lower the price of gasoline by Rs. 5, making it Rs. 274.61 per litre; the price of diesel is likely to drop by Rs. 4.81, to Rs. 283.12 per litre. It is projected that these new rates will take effect on March 16, 2024.

The international petroleum market is trending lower, which might lead to a reduction in pricing. The price of Brent crude futures dropped by 0.4% to $81.82 a barrel, indicating a positive trend for Pakistani consumers.
