Arriving in Islamabad today, the IMF delegation will conduct an economic evaluation of Pakistan’s $3 billion Stand-By Arrangement (SBA).

According to sources, the negotiations would take place from March 14 to March 18.

Mohammad Aurangzeb, the nation’s recently sworn-in finance minister, has approved negotiations with the IMF over the SBA and a new loan program.

The finance minister of Pakistan denied that there would be any obstacles to the payment of the final $1.1 billion tranche under the Stand-By Arrangement (SBA) program in response to a query.
