Across the nation, people observe Juma-tul-Wida, the final Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, with great religious observance today.

On the final Friday of the sacred month of Ramadan, Muslims worldwide celebrate Juma-tul-Wida. On April 5, Pakistan and other Muslim nations will observe it.

For Muslims, the day is a momentous occasion with immense meaning. In mosques, Muslims congregate to say collective prayers, read verses from the Holy Quran, do acts of charity, and ask Allah Almighty for forgiveness and blessings.

Alwida Alwida hai, Mahe Ramazan tu Hum se Wida Hai, is the goodbye Kalam recited by Ramazan in mosques. When the holy month of Ramadan draws to a close, faithful people say this Kalam in unison and with tears in their eyes.

At mosques across the nation, millions of people will say Friday prayers. There will be special prayers said for the advancement and prosperity of Pakistan as well as the global unity of Muslims.

The significance of Juma-tul-Wida and the month of fasting will be emphasised by religious leaders and imams.

The largest assembly will take place at the Faisal Mosque in the federal capital and the Badshahi Mosque in Lahore. Many mosques have put in place security measures to stop any strange activities.
