It is probable that ECP will finish producing ballots till February 2.

ISLAMABAD: While ballots are still being sent in all four provinces, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will finish printing them until February 2.

“The ECP has begun printing ballot papers as of January 16th, following the announcement of nationwide general elections on February 8th and the distribution of election symbols.”

He noted that the general election preparations are moving quickly towards completion and that the ballot paper printing is proceeding well, with three government presses now producing ballots.

He added that 270 tonnes of special paper are being used in the current printing process. Balochistan and Sindh constituencies are being printed in Karachi, while the government printing office in Islamabad is printing ballots for the constituencies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, and Islamabad.

The spokesperson stated that three separate machines will be used to produce the ballot papers, which will be adorned with unique watermarks. Throughout the printing of ballot paper, the Printing Corporation has maintained strict security protocols at its locations.
