During a recent chat show appearance on a private news channel with Imran Ashraf, Saheefa Jabbar Khattak recalled an odd interaction with an individual who seemed more like a hostile follower than a fan.

“A lady came up to us… Imran, she made fun of me,” the “Log Kya Kahenge” actor said. She added, “We don’t think such women are decent; you come from the industry.”

But shortly after, the woman requested her for a selfie, in spite of all the prejudice directed at actors and women in the entertainment business. “But the weirdest part is that, as she was leaving, she asked, ‘Can I take a selfie with you?’ after insulting me for five minutes.” Jabbar

recalled.

While on the trip, Jabbar—who has been a vocal supporter of mental health issues herself—emphasized the significance of getting assistance for the same, but she also brought attention to the added costs of therapies, which the majority of Pakistanis cannot afford given the country’s current inflation rate.

To fulfill this demand, she proposed that powerful people create communities and safe spaces.

Jabbar has shown her mettle as an actor by giving consistently outstanding performances in serials like “Beti,” “Bhool,” and “Log Kya Kahenge.”
