Exercise “Shamsheer-e-Sehra”: Chief of Army Observes Battle Maneuvers and Fire

General Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff, pays a visit to soldiers participating in the “Shamsheer-e-Sehra” field exercise at the training region close to Rahim Yar Khan.

The Army Chief received a briefing about the “Shamsheer-e-Sehra” exercise.

The exercise’s goal was to improve the professional abilities and combat protocols needed to handle obstacles in the operational environment in the future.

The Chief of Army saw coordinated fire and combat operations including armored, infantry, mechanized, artillery, air defense, and anti-tank guided missiles.

The drill also included aircraft from the Pakistan Air Force.

In order to neutralize the enemy’s communications and misinformation effort during a conflict, the exercise also included electronic warfare and information operations.

As he spoke with the soldiers taking part in the drill, the Army Chief praised their excellent levels of training, operational readiness, and overall strong morale.

He underlined that the Armed Forces must always be ready for any mishap on the part of the adversary.
