Today, the Prime Minister’s Mind Sports Initiative was introduced to schools in Islamabad by Acting Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar.

The effort seeks to foster children’s critical thinking and cognitive development. At first, chess boards and scrabble sets will be distributed to a thousand schools.

Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar spoke at the event and emphasised his strong resolve to advocate for and advance the Mind Sports Initiative. He underlined that mental sports will be available in all Pakistani schools.

The prime minister stated that more coordination and collaboration are necessary since we live in a global world. He emphasised that playing sports is a great way to encourage this kind of teamwork.

He claimed that engaging in such tasks instills discipline in people, which benefits scientists, engineers, politicians, and bureaucrats alike.

Minister of Inter-Provincial Coordination Fawad Hasan Fawad said today that Pakistan’s public schools would be included in the Mind Sports Initiative.

He also extended an invitation to private schools to arm themselves with mental exercises. In the first month, he stated, we have to equip one hundred schools in the Federal Capital region with mental sports. He was confident that this figure would rise quickly if the Provinces joined it as well.

The Punjab government’s refusal to buy wheat from farmers was contested in a lawsuit brought before the Lahore High Court by Farhat Manzoor Chandio, according to the information.

While the government had established a program to buy wheat from farmers at Rs 3,900 per maund, the petitioner claimed that the government was obligated to acquire wheat from farmers at the official price and that the policy had not been put into practice.

With little progress made on the wheat purchase, farmers in Punjab are left exposed to selling their harvests for less money when it rains, as was originally planned when the Punjab government was set to begin purchasing wheat from farmers on April 22.

Requesting that the government buy wheat from farmers and prosecute the mafia, the petitioner beseeched the court for intervention.

According to sources in the Food Department, the Punjabi government has not yet decided how to purchase wheat. This information was disclosed yesterday.

A statement regarding the next course of action will also be made, according to reports, and farmer leader Sultan Javed stated that the choice must be made by Monday (today).

Prime Minister Shehbaz’s move to raise the procurement target for wheat was well received by him. “We anticipate a comparable declaration from the Punjabi government in the near future,” Sultan Javed continued.

Previously, the federal government was ordered by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to buy wheat from farmers right away after farmers filed complaints.

The statement issued by the PM Office stated that PM Shehbaz also raised the goal of procuring wheat from 1.4 million metric tons to 1.8 million metric tons.

The statement also stated that thousands of farmers around the nation should profit from the prime minister’s decision and receive a consistent income.

Judge Arshad Hussain and Justice Zulfiqar Ali Sangi, who make up the high court bench, heard the matter.

The officials are unaware of the court decisions regarding the investigation, search, and payment of compensation to the relatives of missing persons, according to Justice Arshad Hussain.

About the government’s and police department’s handling of the case of the 11 missing persons, the court voiced disappointment.

The court had mandated that the families of the missing persons receive compensation, according to Justice Zulfiqar Ali Sangi. For the past three months, Justice Sangi questioned, “The police officers and secretaries were in sleep.”

“The court was informed by a police official that a missing person had been located and was relocated for the following hearing. Doesn’t the court seem to be making fun of itself? Justice Zulfiqar Sangi remarked.

“We don’t know when and how it will happen,” Justice Arshad Hussain stated in response to letters sent to numerous institutions that have received no response.

The federal and provincial government lawyers were also a source of ire for the court. “They come with the case, but they have no knowledge,” Bench said.

Attorney for the government informed the court that those who have been confirmed as missing will be reimbursed by the province. The home department’s focal point told the court, “A summary has been forwarded to the chief minister of Sindh for compensation.”
