On Thursday, the Chinese government showed support for Pakistan by giving $100,000 in emergency financial aid to areas of Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) that had been impacted by rain.

Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary, Muhammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi, received the monetary assistance from Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong during a gift ceremony conducted at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ambassador Zaidong reaffirmed China’s commitment to supporting Pakistan during times of catastrophe and stressed the significance of providing prompt relief to the impacted communities.

The Chinese embassy’s official statement emphasized the importance of this gesture in helping people in need get critical support.

It also highlighted the proactive role that Chinese companies have played in Pakistan, such as the provision of 3,000 food cans and 30,000 bottles of mineral water.

In addition, initiatives have been taken to house displaced people in the Gwadar Faqur School, which is evidence of the strong relationship that exists between China and Pakistan.

In the near future, the Chinese Consulate General in Karachi plans to give more material support valued at RMB 500,000, highlighting its continuous dedication to supporting Pakistan’s rehabilitation endeavors.

Following Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s declaration earlier this month of a relief package for families affected by excessive rains, this aid is being provided.
