After the Iranian president left, roads in Karachi opened to traffic.

The Iranian president, Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, concluded his three-day visit to Pakistan this morning and departed for Tehran from the airport in Karachi.

The Iranian President and his party were bid farewell at the Karachi airport by Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, and Federal Minister Riaz Hussain Pirzada.

All blocked highways have been reopened for traffic following the Iranian delegation’s departure, according to a spokesman for the Karachi traffic police.

With the containers removed, traffic is once again able to travel on the route from Lucky Star, PIDC Chowk, MT Khan Road, towards Shahra-e-Faisal.

The spokeswoman added that containers were taken out of Ziauddin Road to allow for easy traffic flow and that the Metropole Chowrangi has also been opened for traffic.

Noteworthy, in advance of the Iranian president’s visit to the city, a number of highways were blocked off with containers.

Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Governor Balighur Rehman, Governor Kamran Tessori of Sindh, CM Murad Ali Shah, and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir were among the individuals the Iranian president visited while in Pakistan.
