Thanking Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for sending a high-level delegation that will usher in a new era of Saudi investment in Pakistan, trade partnerships, and business ties, the prime minister chaired a meeting to review issues pertaining to the recent high-powered Saudi delegation and Saudi investment in various sectors.

He applauded the efforts of the relevant senior officers, Special Investment Facilitation Council, and federal ministers for turning the Saudi delegation’s visit into a partnership that would benefit both parties.

In order to get the desired results, he asked for the ministries to be capacitated and gave the relevant authorities instructions to hire top-tier professionals to carry out the foreign investment projects.

In order to guarantee that the projects agreed upon with the Saudi delegation are carried out, the prime minister requested the Board of Investment, SIFC, and other ministries to design a system.

He stated that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan had friendly relations and that the Kingdom had always helped Pakistan in its time of need.

The Saudi King and Crown Prince were commended by Prime Minister Shehbaz for their strong desire to advance Pakistani-Saudi collaboration and partnerships.

He reaffirmed the determination of his administration to pursue all feasible avenues for the advancement and well-being of the nation.

Following a discussion of potential investments in the domains of mining, agriculture, energy, information technology, and infrastructure development, the meeting was informed of the interest and offer for various projects made by the Saudi delegation.

The inclusion of Pakistan in the global supply and value chains was also discussed by both parties, and Pakistan’s readiness for this role was greatly acknowledged.

The attendees of the meeting saw the arrival of friendly delegations to investigate investment prospects as a positive development and hailed the present administration’s diplomatic achievements.

The prime minister gave orders to all relevant ministries and departments to provide special attention to business-to-business and government-to-government agreements, and to treat the local business community with confidence in this regard.

The Customer Relations Department (CRD)’s theft control team raided a well-known bakery in Karachi as part of their most recent operation, where they discovered gas theft. The team seized the pipes and additional items that the bakery was using to steal gas from the SSGC infrastructure.

The SSGC authorities stated that Malik Muhammad Yaseen, the proprietor of the bakery, has been charged with gas theft and that the stolen gas will be reimbursed based on load.

Separately, the removal of 210 homes’ domestic connections and 10 subterranean clamps revealed a huge gas theft in Sukkur. The annual amount of theft committed was estimated to be 201,600 cm. as stated in the press statement from SSGC.

Gas theft was discovered in Hyderabad at Mutaasreen Colony in Kohisar Area, Latifabad, where two clamps on 8′′ and 2′′ diameters were found.

The miscreants repaired feeder mains (FMs) so that rubber pipes could be extended to over thirty homes in an area that was not gasified. The clamps were taken out, the rubber pipes were recovered, and the 2′′ and 8′′ diameter FMs were fixed and fused. The aforementioned unregistered clients were estimated to have stolen 28,800 cm of property annually in the area.

In other Sindhi cities, including as Jacobabad Zone in Larkana and Shikarpur Zone in Shikarpur, the SSGC overcame home gas theft miscreants. In these incidents, 13 unlawful overhead connections and 12 underground connections, respectively, were dismantled, and rubber pipes and clamps were removed quickly, according to the firm.

Signing of a letter of intent between Prime Minister’s Youth Program and UN International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) about the United Nations Generation Unlimited (GenU) program was witnessed by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

In order to empower youth via education, technical training, and entrepreneurship as well as to work toward early education and training, the Secretary General of the UN announced the Generation Unknown initiative in 2018.

Twenty million euros will be invested in youth-related projects by GenU as it prepares to launch its full operations in Pakistan.

To help ensure that young people have equal access to training and education, sign the document. A joint operational strategy framework will be developed in this regard by GenU and the PM Youth Programme.

PM watches UNICEF and PMYP sign a letter of intent.

Prior to this, the prime minister was visited by a UNICEF delegation led by Abdullah A. Fazil, UNICEF’s Pakistani representative. Moreover present in the conference was Rana Mashhood, Chairman of the PM Youth Program.

The PM Youth Programme and UNICEF are working together to increase the capacity of Pakistan’s youth, as the delegation informed the prime minister.

The prime minister expressed gratitude to UNICEF for their efforts on behalf of children’s welfare in Pakistan and throughout the world.
